Welcome to the Bethany web site. We are a group of about 40 ordinary people of all ages. What we have in common is a love for God and a desire to share His love with others. We invite you to join us at any of our services, whether you live in the area, on holidays or are just visiting.

Why do we meet?

Being a Christian is so much more than just believing a set of truths, God has broken into each of our lives in a very personal way and shown us that we can never earn our way to heaven by good works. If we are honest, we can never really be good enough to satisfy our own standards, let alone God's.

But grace means that we don't have to clean up our lives before we come to God, in fact, we can't. Jesus died on the cross in our place, so that we can be accepted and forgiven by a holy God if we turn to him and ask him for it.

Directions
If you come from Swansea on the coast road, go past the mini-roundabout with Dick Bartons fish and chip shop. Bethany Lane is a right turn about half a mile towards Mumbles.

Our church was established over 150 years ago and is close to the city of Swansea and a short walk from the small seaside town of Mumbles.

The church is situated just off the Mumbles road leading into the village of Mumbles and about 100 yards from the beach. Swansea is a historic city with a castle [there is a better one at Mumbles], a marina, maritime museum and a great leisure centre. Swansea of course is famous for Dylan Thomas the poet.

Mumbles also is worth a visit with its Victorian pier, village shops, and restaurants
